Belgrade rewards early risers. Start with a morning walk along the Zemun Quay, a coffee with a view of the Danube, and let the day unfold from there.

Kalemegdan is the heart of the city — a 57-hectare fortress and park overlooking the confluence of the Sava and the Danube, with museums, a Roman well and boat rides for the adventurous.

The Church of Saint Sava, one of the largest Orthodox churches in the world, rises in Byzantine style above the city, a bronze monument to Saint Sava standing before it.

For green space, the Jevremovac Botanical Garden hides a serene Japanese garden in the centre of town, while families make for the Belgrade Zoo beside Little Kalemegdan.

A little further out, the Aviation Museum by Nikola Tesla Airport holds a fascinating collection of aircraft spanning more than a century. When the day is done, we will be here to welcome you back.
